What is Adobe® Acrobat®? What is a PDF?

Adobe® Acrobat® is a software program used to convert your documents into Adobe® Acrobat® PDF fomat. PDF stands for Portable Document Format. You will want to use it to protect your ebooks, special reports, white papers, and more. This format protects your words, layout, graphics, and hyperlinks from being changed or copied by readers.

Your readers will need the free companion software, Adobe® Reader® to work with your PDFs. They can use Adobe® Reader® to read, print, and collaborate on Adobe® PDF files.It is probably already loaded on their PC.

What is an Article Directory?

Article Directories are sites that offer article content (usually for free) to publishers of ezines, websites and memberships sites. Authors of the articles post their work on article directories to increase their exposure and hopefully to attract new clients to their own sites.

Each article is posted with an "author box" or "signature" at the end. It tells the reader about the author, how to reach them, and usually includes a link to the author's site or blog. This author box usually includes a free offer or special incentive to encourage the reader to click through and to join the author's mailing list.

This author box must be included anywhere the article is published. So if an website publisher wants to place your article on her site, she must post the article in its entirety along with your author box. This helps you get more exposure and helps your potential "future clients" learn more about you.

Posting articles onto article directories is a key article marketing strategy. Two popular Article Directory sites are EzineArticles and IdeaMarketers, yet there are many specialized article directories that may target your niche.

I know it as a resource for solid articles from top marketers.Article categories include: business, marketing, finances, life, home improvement, entertainment with many subcategories. Since your article is automatically added to the directory, make sure it is proof-read and well-edited before you submit it.

Like other article directories, your articles are posted under categories for article publishers to use in their web sites or ezines. If a publisher wants to use your article, ezinearticles has a process for you to accept or deny their request to use your article.

Of course, online prospects can also search for and read your articles, yet the search interface isn't as user-friendly as others.

IdeaMarketers also has a bidding program for placement of your article in prominent places on their site - this can lead to greater exposure.
